Job Description
Mad Science is a STEM program provider for preschool and elementary children. We do after-school clubs, summer camps, birthdays, shows and assemblies, and other events.
We're looking for one person to join the office team as a program coordinator to help organize schedules, prepare lesson materials, and teach programs. This person would spend a part of their day in the office, and leave to teach a Mad Science program at another location when necessary.
The lab/office is in Tempe, but we cover schools from Queen Creek to Deer Valley, so willingness to drive on occasion is important. Driving time is compensated.
Responsibilities:
Be a point of contact for customers via phones and emails
Coordinate camps and after-school clubs, keep track of related documentation
Pack and replace lesson materials as instructors return them to the office
Provide an excellent and educational experience when doing Mad Science programs
Benefits:
Schedule flexibility:We're looking for someone for 35-40 hrs a week on average, but can accommodate some variability for appointments and possibly for a college schedule, etc.

Qualifications:
Have some experience working with groups of preschool and/or elementary children aged 3- to 12-years old, such as camp counselor, childcare provider, assistant teacher, etc.
Have a fun and outgoing personality with a good teacher presence
Have a reliable car
Have or obtain a fingerprint card and pass a background check (required)
Experience in some similar capacity as a program coordinator or office manager is great, but not necessary. If you're friendly, willing to learn, and love working with kids, we can provide all the training necessary.
The pay rate of $12 hr is a minimum. More experience and qualifications would command higher pay. Additionally, the pay rate for teaching a program is higher than the pay rate for office work.
