Privacy Policy

This policy covers the ASU List website at theasulist.com and the ASU List app for iPhone. Both use the same account and the same data.

Information We Collect

Account information. Your name, email address, and optional username, profile photo, and mobile number. If you sign in with Apple, we receive an identifier and the email address you choose to share, which may be a private relay address.

Content you create. Your listings, including photos, descriptions, prices, and the ZIP code you enter for a listing, plus messages you exchange with other people.

Photos. The app asks for camera and photo library access only when you add photos to a listing or set a profile picture. Only the images you choose are uploaded. We do not browse your library.

Push notifications. If you allow notifications, we store the device token Apple issues so we can tell you about new messages and activity on your listings. It identifies a device, not you, and it is deleted when Apple reports it is no longer valid.

Usage data. Basic technical and usage information needed to operate and troubleshoot the service.

We do not collect precise location. A listing shows only the ZIP code you type in.

How We Use Your Data

To operate the marketplace: to show your listings, let people message each other, send notifications and service email you have asked for, keep the service secure, and improve it.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for advertising or tracking across other companies' apps and websites. Your public profile, listings, and listing photos are visible to other people using ASU List. We share data only with the providers that run the service on our behalf: our hosting provider, our email provider, and Apple for push notification delivery.

Blocking and Reporting

You can block another person, which hides their listings and stops them contacting you, and you can report a listing or a person. Reports are reviewed by our moderators.

Deleting Your Account

You can delete your account at any time — in the app under Me, and on the website from your profile. Deleting removes your account, your profile, and your messages. Your listings are taken down and no longer appear anywhere on ASU List. We keep only what the law requires us to keep.

Children

ASU List is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
